Message from Our Pastor

Welcome to Abbotts Creek Missionary Baptist Church!

Way back in 1756, a "Preaching Point" was established called Abbotts Creek Church. Our great God knew that out of this new "spiritual spring" would flow story after story of countless lives touched eternally by Abbotts Creek Church. History has taught us that this bodies' headwaters of Missions and Evangelism converged time and again to smooth out rocky places, and to touch many lives.

As its Pastor, I am humbled, as I watch Abbotts Creek "Refresh all who come, and Renew all in it's path." Isaiah 55:1 states, "Come, all who are thirsty come to the waters!" The moment you step into Abbotts Creek a babbling waterfall greets you. But the real refreshing comes in meeting old and new family members, making new friends, and being inspired in Preaching, and Music and Worship.

You must know, though, that Abbotts Creek Church is at its best when it empties herself into the lives of others. In these exciting days, our banks are overflowing whether baptizing new believers in the old outdoor pool, or literally "in" Abbotts Creek, or maybe in our beautiful Sanctuary's baptistery. Once a person tasted these Refreshing Waters, a mighty river of caring and compassion was unleashed to 4,800 hurting people through Labor of Love this past year alone. That need led to filling over 3.000 backpacks for hungry children in 4 schools. This great church's love overflowed to start Camp M & M which give a hot meal, backpacks with food, and a whole lot of love to hundreds of kids this past summer. That same Refreshing spirit started God's Garden and a great bounty of fresh vegetables for the hungry.

A true missions and evangelism heart have led Abbotts Creek Church to expand its missions borders to flow into places like tornado-ravaged Davidson County, Greenville, and Grifton, North Carolina. The love of God grew and cascaded to faraway mission places like Wyoming, Jacksonville, Florida, South Carolina, West Virginia, New Orleans, and even to Africa.

These pages are filled with Missions and Missionaries God has chosen to carry on His Good Work. So, "Come, all who are thirsty, come to the waters!" Isaiah 55:1. Now that's what I would call a true REFRESHING AT THE CREEK - Abbotts Creek Church!
