Michael Walsh Eagle Scout Project

Michael Walsh, great-grandson of Rufus and Dot Hayes, grandson of Mike and Janis Williams and son of Brad and Tammy Walsh, will be creating a remembrance place at the Prayer Chapel. He is doing this with the consent of the deacons and trustees of ACBC. He is doing this in memory of his great-grandfather and his great uncle, Donnie Varner. The project will consist of a flagpole/ flag and a sitting wall. He is selling engraved bricks to raise the funds for this project. If you wish to have an engraved brick at this project, please fill out the order form attached. Contact Tammy Walsh or Michael for any questions or further details.

Young at Heart upcoming events

Next Young at Heart Choir Rehearsal —- July 19, 10 am

 

There are 2 trips that we have sign –up sheets located outside the office. First, on Friday, August 25, we will travel to Lake Norman to take a sightseeing trip on the Catawba Queen boat. The cost is $25.00 per person. The second is our fall trip. We have had several express interest in going to the Ark Encounter and Creation Museum in Kentucky, so we are planning a trip October 9-12, 2017. We will be staying at a Christian retreat Center called The Potter’s Ranch. We are looking at a cost of $300 per person which will include: room, meals (except while traveling) and tickets to both attractions. Please sign up and I will need a $100 deposit by August 6. 

 

 

Wednesday Night Ministry Meals

Every Wednesday night a team of volunteers prepares a meal to be served in The Fellowship Hall from 5:30-6:15 p.m.  The meals are open to all and do not have a set cost, but free will donations are welcome.  It’s a fantastic time for fellowship for ALL ages

 

The Wednesday meals have been a great success, thanks for all your support. The meals will resume in August, stay tuned for details. Enjoy your vacations and stay blessed.
